William M. Wallace was born [1898] in Port Simpson, British Columbia/ Canada. On the 1901 census, he was living in Victoria with only his father and sister. Sometime between 1901 and 1913, William had moved to Telkwa/Bulkley Valley area of British Columbia in which we presume where he lived his younger years. William's parents were Elizabeth [Lizzie] Gray and William Wallace [Sr]. William also had a sister named "Margaret Julia Wallace". In 1915 during WW1, William joined the military and was stationed in England. In 1918 while in England, William met and married Jessie Revell. Jessie's Parents lived in Hounslow, England. After the war was over William and Jessie came back to Canada and lived a few years in the Hazelton and Bulkley valley area of British Columbia. In approx. 1926, William and his family moved to Prince Rupert where he worked in the fishing Industry and then with the Dept. of Transport. In 1932, William received a job as a Lighthouse Keeper. William pasted away in 1966.
Margaret Julia Wallace was born in Port Essington in 1894 to Elizabeth Gray and William Wallace. Margaret was married in 1918, to W.H Richardson, which ended in a divorce in 1944. She was again married, to a Mr. Norman Thornton year unknown. Margaret pasted away in 1977.
According to the 1901 census, William was born in England (1853) and landed in Canada in 1869. According to the Marriage Registration, William was 37 years old when he married Elizabeth [Lizzie] Gray in 1894. They were married in Port Essington, British Columbia. He worked as a masonry [Plasterer] in Victoria and on the Skeena River/Telkwa area in the early 1900's. With information I have collected, I believe William died in Victoria, British Columbia in 1915.
The only information we have on this William, is from William [SR] marriage registration where he has written that William Wallace was his father and he was also a masonry.
